ADULT AYR ACADEMY

Why this Camp?

This isn’t a clinic—it’s a progression experience designed to change how you ride. Whether you’re dialing in jumps, mastering drops, or building flow on tech, our coaching team meets you where you are and helps you confidently tackle the features you’ve always wanted to ride.

  • Progress Faster: Proven coaching system focused on skill breakthroughs

  • Ride With the Best: Industry-leading coaches + guest pro riders

  • Small Groups, Big Gains: 5 riders to a coach for personalized feedback on real trail features

  • Full Highland Experience: Meals included, priority lift access, stay right on-site

From Brian

Coach Kevin and Coach Camden were both great! They had plenty of tips and tricks to share and were patient as everyone integrated them into their riding. They were happy to accommodate any requests and eager to ensure everyone was getting exactly what they wanted from the program.

From Kate

Coach Justin was great. He listened to our goals and feedback throughout, and he tailored the learning experience to our group of four.

From Dustin

Coach Justin did a great job of explaining biking concepts in multiple ways, helping it click for everyone. The split of explaining, practicing skills, and trail riding was good. He took time with each student to help them work on what they wanted to improve.

From Cecelia

Coach Alex was so great. Very patient, helped me build confidence, and made sense out of a lot of feedback I didn’t previously understand. Can’t recommend her enough.

From David

The coaches are easy to understand, enthusiastic, and offer precise instruction on proper form and how to navigate complex trail features. There were countless times when I received one-on-one feedback. The guys were watching very closely and were quick to offer praise as well as point out faults. I am seasoned enough to know when I’m involved in something really special, and that’s how the coaches made me feel. Thank you so much.

From Kristen

Coach Alex was awesome. She broke everything down step by step to help build confidence and had me doing jumps and drops I never anticipated by the time the clinic was over.

From Janelle

Coach Quinn’s system of breaking down features, doing demos, having us try things, and giving feedback (especially via video) was really helpful in building my confidence and taking on challenges intentionally.

From Dave

Thanks so much for an incredible weekend of progression and fun.  I’ve gotten to ride a few times since and am stoked on how I’m riding after the instruction of the weekend.  There’s no question you’ll be getting some sign-ups from my riding buddies that want to see the same progress (and want to catch back up! haha).

Which Program is for me?

2-Day Camp – Coed – (Best for Beginner to Strong Intermediate Riders)

Our 2-Day camp is designed for riders who want to build confidence, sharpen foundational skills, and progress at a comfortable, focused pace. Whether you’re newer to lift-access riding or working toward consistent flow on green and blue terrain, this program gives you the instruction and support to level up quickly.

Across two full days, you’ll develop strong habits in body position, braking, cornering, and technical control, while getting introduced to jumps and drops in a structured environment. If you’re looking for a welcoming progression camp that prioritizes building technique and confidence, this is your best fit.

3-Day Camp – Coed – (Best for Intermediate to Expert Riders)

The 3-Day camp is built for riders who already feel comfortable on lift-access terrain and are ready to push into more advanced skills and features. This expanded format includes everything from our 2-Day program plus an additional full day of riding, coaching, and progression work that allows for deeper skill development and more time to apply new techniques on the mountain.

Ideal for riders seeking bigger breakthroughs, this camp focuses on advanced cornering techniques, higher-level jumps and drops, technical lines, and trail strategy on Highland’s more challenging terrain. If you’re hungry for progression and want a camp that will truly push your riding to the next level, the 3-Day experience is for you.

Women’s Only Camp

We are so excited to see an explosion of female riders on the mountain. To support this continued growth, we are offering a two-day Adult Ayr Academy for female riders. Our veteran female coaches will each work with a small group of riders, progressing their skills and introducing them to new terrain and trails at Highland.

Imagine the fun you will have when surrounded by a small group of new friends who share your interests, abilities, and goals. Women’s Adult Ayr Academy is where you can thrive among your peers.

Every session of Adult Ayr Academy starts with a focus on mountain bike core skills. Day one begins with introductions, bike checks, and riding positions. Building on a solid foundation, we’ll turn the focus towards skills including cornering techniques, wheel lifts, jumps, drops and more. If you want to learn how to hit some of Highland’s signature features, we will focus on the skill set needed to conquer them!

  • Coed Ages 21+
  • 3 meals a day included in camp price

What you're most excited about this summer: I am stoked to reconnect with my Highland family. As a member of the Rad Dad Club I'd like to spend as much of the summer as possible in the pump track and dirt jumping with my son. My next big adventure goal is to ride an e-bike into the stratosphere in a day - although there's some work to do on that project.
